Meestal wordt een Hawaï pizza natuurlijk gemaakt met ananas en ham, maar deze keer maak ik een variant met kip, ananas, rode ui en BBQ saus. Hierdoor is hij veel smaakvoller dan een normale Hawaï pizza, welke ik vaak wat saai vind.
Ik pak verse stukjes ananas en snijd deze iets kleiner. Vind het lekkerder dat de ananas subtieler in de pizza verwerkt zit dan wanneer hij overheerst als je een hap neemt.
Dit recept zal niet tot de allergezondste maaltijden behoren aangezien er niet zo heel veel groenten in zitten, maar door de ananas en rode ui kom je toch aan vitaminen. Daarnaast geven de kip en kaas je natuurlijk een goede lading eiwitten. Prima om af en toe eens te nemen als je zin hebt in een lekker en niet al te slecht pizzaatje.
Ingrediënten
Volkoren pizzabodem
200 gr kipdijfiletreepjes
100 gr ananas stukjes
2/3 rode ui
80 gr mozzarella
10 gr geraspte kaas
50 ml (zelfgemaakte) BBQ saus
Bereiding
- Verwarm de oven voor op 200 graden Celsius.
- Verhit wat kokosolie in een pan en bak de kipdijfiletreepjes op gemiddeld tot hoog vuur aan beide kanten goudbruin en gaar van binnen.
- Snijd ondertussen de rode ui in reepjes en snijd de mozzarella klein en mix met de geraspte kaas.
- Smeer de pizzabodem in met de BBQ saus en strooi er ongeveer de helft van de kaasmix overheen. Verdeel er vervolgens de kip, ananas en rode ui overheen. Finish het met de rest van de kaasmix.
- Plaats je BBQ Hawaii pizza in de oven voor circa 10 min of volgens de aanwijzing op de verpakking van je pizzabodem.
